This Guy Traveled The Country In A Pink Tutu Just To Make His Wife Laugh During Chemo

I LOVE THIS!!!

After Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer, Bob began taking beautiful but totally ridiculous photographs of himself in a pink tutu.

After Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer, Bob began taking beautiful but totally ridiculous photographs of himself in a pink tutu.

“When Linda would go in for treatment, she would take the images on her phone and the women would look at them and it would make them laugh and make the time pass,” Bob said.

Linda said the other women appreciated that Bob was standing out in order to stand by her.

After so much postive feedback, Bob knew he had to continue making the photographs. The Tutu Projectwas born and quickly went viral.

And even traveled to Italy…

Always finding creative ways to capture himself in the tutu, and make his wife and her friends laugh.

“Oddly enough, her cancer has taught us that life is good, dealing with it can be hard, and sometimes the very best thing — no, the only thing — we can do to face another day is to laugh at ourselves, and share a laugh with others.”

As a chemo patient myself, this project really touches my heart.  It's all about making the best out of ANY situation.  Making people happy and laughing a lot really helps you feel better at times like these.

Not just a princess! Ha!

Less than 3 in 10 graduates in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are women. And barely 1 in 10 actual engineers are women. Early in a girl's life, the toys marketed to her are usually things that don't encourage her to enter those fields. GoldieBlox intends to change that by teaching them while they are young that these fields can be fun — and apparently epic, by the looks of this super-genius 2-minute video. Watch and learn.

What do you do before a double mastectomy? Dance, of course!

Deb's OR Flash Mob

In a six-minute video that proves Beyonce makes everything better, a breast cancer patient dances in the operating room with her doctors and nurses before going under anesthesia. The video, which is quickly going viral, was uploaded on Tuesday, the day Deborah Cohan had her bilateral mastectomy at UCSF Medical Center at Mount Zion in San Francisco, according to her Caring Bridge page. (Cohan is also an OB-GYN at the hospital, so she had some pull when talking the doctors and nurses into being her backup dancers.)
Cohan's idea was to have a sort of worldwide, virtual dance party with her family and friends in the minutes before her surgery on Tuesday. "My fantasy is for you to play the song ... and dance wherever you happen to be ... ideally at 7:30am but really anytime Tuesday," she wrote last week. "Nothing brings me greater joy than catalyzing others to dance, move, be in their bodies. Are you with me people?"
Cohan's joy and energy in the video has lifted the spirits of people around the world, including TODAY.com reader Chris Harmon, who posted to our Facebook page, "my family is going thru cancer right now too... this brought tears to my eyes, what a lovely spirit she has!!!!" And late Thursday afternoon, Queen B herself even posted the video to her Facebook page

A Little Encouragement Goes A Long Way... Love Strong!

If we are going to improve our global situation...

It must begin with a choice to love strong.

The revolution or the awakening is an internal job.  It all starts in the heart.  Yours and mine.  We need to turn up the dial and increase in our intention to love strong.
We’ve heard it over and over again… “Love your neighbor as you love yourself”.  In a nutshell, that’s the message for all… the golden rule… from Jesus himself!
But, if you don’t love yourself… how well are you going to love your neighbor? We need to forgive ourselves and give ourselves the freedom to receive cheerfully all the blessings Life has to offer.
When our friends and family in our inner circle see the shift in us…
Living an inspired life, confident, taking action towards our dreams, genuinely helping others, practicing self-control, kindness…
(and geeZ!!!) just being yourself  and loving life…
Aaaah yes, it’s contagious to love strong... some will catch on!
“We become in our lives what we do with our love.”
It’s amazing how far a simple smile can go…
The same is true for a negative attitude.
You get to choose which person you will be…
The empowering one who chooses to love strong.
Or the energy vampire who is depleting everyone’s joy.
I was at the park by my house on my daily morning walk and I came across a man who was stretching and doing pull-ups on the monkey bars.  I simply walked by him and smiled, said good morning and told him to enjoy the beautiful day.  He later came around to thank me for being kind to him.  I stopped what I was doing and gave him my full attention.  He ended up telling me by the end of the conversation that this was the longest he had spoken to someone, and I mean had an authentic mindful conversation, in almost a decade.
This was a confirmation to me that even when we don’t think we are doing something significant, each act of kindness goes a long way.  That seed of encouragement that I planted in him might  seem to be nothing, but God can stretch that and make it count. It didn’t seem like much but for him it was hope that people still love strong.
Had I been to caught up in my ego… or assumptions… I would have missed this opportunity to impact a life.
The spirit within you is magnetic and can attract the perfect opportunity at any moment.  When it comes to love, there are no limits.
“The difference between good and great is just a little effort.”
If you make a little effort to have some quiet alone time and get your heart centered… connect to God, the Source of all well-being…
You’ll find that just tapping in to that higher state of consciousness… the higher frequency vibration of Love and Light that fills you from within… will help you stay focused and pour out of you throughout your day.
When we feed our spirit well… we can love strong because it flows naturally.
“We love because God first loved us”.
If you let yourself be enveloped in that unconditional pure love and you make a decision to give yourself the gift of living an inspired life

Your greatest joy and fulfillment will be to love strong.

When you are the conduit of that love for others, genuinely giving value with the intention to serve and inspire… your life will be meaningful and your creativity will shine.
Allow yourself to be taken over by the Spirit of Love
Make yourself available to love strong.
That is how we impact lives and empower the world.

"You have made my day today - taken me from a point of totally giving up to pushing on.  I don't believe in random chance in our lives and I believe that I ran into you today, because I needed your encouragement. One day I will repay - trust me."

I MADE A DECISION TO LIVE

I AM JENNIFER ORELLANA…

Online I am referred to as “Fearless Jenny”
Not because I don’t get scared.
We all get afraid… But, some people let fear paralyze them.
Others see fear as a tool… and turn that energy into magic!
How many fears and failures do you think the people at the top have overcome?
I told my husband one day “We have to make a decision to LIVE“…and we did.
Before that…
I remember a time when I was eating crackers and hot sauce for dinner… really.
I slept in a hospital waiting room once because I didn’t know where else to go.
secretly lived in the back room of a massage establishment for a couple of months.
I remember paying for an hourly motel to take a shower.
I also remember making a decision to LIVE… and I mean a decision to LIVE!
It’s awesome how the mind works!
When you make a decision to live and move forward in the direction of your dreams… Crazy things happen.  The dots start connecting… the right connections start showing up… the right people and opportunities… all at the perfect timing.
When you make a decision to live in the flow… the current of LIFE carries you to your next Divine appointment.  If you allow yourself to be in the flow… your life can becomeoutrageously joyful.
If you make a decision to LIVE in expectation of favorable blessings and opportunities, you’ll notice that LIFE will make a way for you… even when you can’t see it.
Come and See” is what Jesus said… There is more to life than you see right now.
Life has so much more in store for you that you will never see if you quit and stay stuck in mediocrity.  But, if you continue to move forward in the direction of your dreams…
God will make a way and you will see more than you ever imagined…  Make a decision to live beyond your wildest dreams!!!
